Review: Kingsman: The Golden Circle

goldencircleOver the top. If I had to describe Kingsman: The Golden Circle, it would be as over the top. If I were to describe Kingsman: The Secret Service (The first one, for anyone keeping track) it would be as, Over the top. This is not a bad thing.

Some movies might take a villain or a hero and make them over the top. It can be done as an exercise in exaggeration, or comedic effect. But Kingsman takes it all over the top. The fight scenes, the psycopathy¬†(I’m coining this word right now), the heroism and villains. Even a secret agent having sex is taken over the top…kinda. Actually, no this is the one spot its muted. I’m actually happy about that.

Alright, first off. If you haven’t seen the first one, go watch it I’ll wait. No seriously, go watch it. Alright, done? Good. The second one is more of the same.

Birth Days

surgeonNine years ago my wife and I celebrated the birth of our first child. We were overjoyed when we welcomed our daughter into our lives, much as any new parents would be. About a month later my wife developed a chronic cough and was constantly coughing up mucus. We went to the doctor’s office several times and were constantly told she had bronchitis. She was given antibiotics for months before we finally got a doctor to do an X-ray of her chest. Right after they got the results back we were instructed to check into the hospital through the emergency room.

Arthur!…er I mean, The Tick! – Review

chamoon-625x350For a while now I’ve been seeing all kinds of ads for The Tick. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TV. I haven’t been able to get away from them. I wasn’t too interested in watching The Tick. I’d seen the old cartoon in the ’90’s. I hadn’t really liked it back then. They had made another live action version of the Tick a while back as well, I didn’t even bother with it. In fact it barely registered on my radar. But the million ads from Amazon and the fact that I barely use Amazon Video that I’m paying for made me decide to give it a go.
